Justification for Poster
The Farm to Table poster was inspired by an event my mother held one year. I used the natural colors one thinks of when envisioning a farm, green for the background and reds, browns, and yellows in the photographs. I gave all of the images and large font a dropshadow to link them together, so when the viewer saw it, the photos would appear more cohesive. In addition, I included a small about of information that would intrigue the audience to support local produce, informing them of the process and what to expect. Also, I provided the organization that sponsors Farm to Table and their contact information so viewers interested in the concept can easily call or visit their website. Overall, I believe that the poster's design can be read easily at a distance and grab people walking thier attention with it's attractive and organized layout and identifiable theme.
Justification for Advertisement
To promote my Farm To Table Business I created an invitation for one of their events, Dinner on the Farm. Because it would be a small event, I chose a cursive font to make the event appear elegant, classy and personal. The pictures on the side give the reader examples of previous dinners at different locations and show them what to expect and to encourage them that the Dinner on the Farm would be a very unique experience. The photos' colors play off of the other colors in the layout so the audience can read cohesively.Furthermore, I included all the important information for the event, how much it would cost per person and the farm it would be held at. The event would give the customers a closer relationship between them and where their food comes from and encourage their support in local agriculture along with the importance of fresh food in a healthy lifestyle.
